Teaching philosophy
One of my goals as a teacher is to create a positive environment
conducive to learning and to empower my students to claim
their own education and attitude toward learning. Thus I encourage them to take an active,
curious role in seeking new forms of disciplinary and
interdisciplinary knowledge. Enhancing students' critical thinking,
and knowledge of daily life skills is also very important to me. In addition,
I believe in collaborative learning and frequently use small group
work, and one on one instruction as classroom strategies.
Research interest
My area of specialization is developing new ways to
overcome daily behavior problems that may interfere with the
educational process of my students.
Other interests
I enjoy traveling, shopping, and relaxing outdoors
with my children. Relaxing usually includes grilling, playing in the
pool or water sports on the Lake.
