Mrs. Dixon’s Business Classes

Welcome to Mrs. Dixon’s Business Education classes!  We are planning a lot of exciting activities this semester.  We will be doing projects and presentations to enhance our learning. 

In Marketing the students will be promoting West Florence clubs/organizations by creating flyers, announcements, television commercials, etc.  As we discuss visual merchandising, we will take a field trip to Magnolia Mall to enhance our learning of various merchandising techniques.  Guest speakers will be coming in to talk about careers in Marketing. 

We’re going more in-depth with our knowledge in Marketing Management. Several guest speakers will be coming in to discuss the various topics covered in this class.  Also, we will be taking several field trips to enhance our learning and group projects will be a big focus in class.

In Advertising the students will be developing advertisements for their very own, original product.  Also, guest speakers are lined up to talk about careers and advertising.

Desktop Publishing Be prepared to learn a variety of ways to create exciting, visually pleasing publications.  In this class, we use Publisher and Adobe Photoshop to compose graphics, newsletters, brochures, and other documents.
