his/her journals the students will write an essay, “Holiday Weekend”.

Procedures:
The teacher will then demonstrate the
correct procedure for determining sale tax or an item/items. Students will then compute the sales taxes
completing # 1 & 3 on page 46 in the HSAP Math Review.
The teacher will orally read a
selection from Scholastic Scope Magazine and the students will write (Journal #
5) “Divided We Learn”- opinion essay. Assessment: The grade will be determined by the number of
correct responses.
