Students will read, “The Hardest Words to Say” which is a student essay about a personal conflict. Students will brainstorm ideas about a personal or fictional conflict, jotting notes and making a plan for writing. Students may share with another student to generate ideas. Then students will write a narrative essay using the information and ideas they have collected.
