L. Diggs
2009-2010
Learning
new skills and knowledge takes work on the part of the learner. As a teacher, I will be assigning
in-class assignments and homework assignments, as well as other tasks. I am encouraging personal study time to
enhance the material studied in class.
Grades reflect both the quantity and quality of assignments completed,
which will indicate student learning. In English I CP a
student’s grade will be determined the following way:
Please remember
that when students are absent or do not pay attention in class that it is easy
to get behind. Students are
encouraged to watch attendance and to remain on task during class. I realize that there are many absences
that cannot be avoided. Please know
that students are advised to visit the before and after school tutoring center
on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in room 202. Before school times are 7:30-8:30 am and
after school times are 3:40- 4:30 pm.
Students will report to room 202 at 3:40, sign in, take out materials
and let us know their level of need. Students must stay on task the entire
time.
