6^th Grade Scoop October 26 - 30
Reading: Story – Maniac Magee We will be discussing the following skills: Flashback, foreshadow, and tone Greek and Latin Stems English: Simple Sentences Compound Sentences Complex Sentences Spelling Words: Adding suffix “-ous” to base words	Science: We will finish our discussion on atmosphere and begin studying air pressure. Students need to make sure that they take good notes in their binder every day. Social Studies: We will complete our unit study on Ancient Egypt. Students should study their guided notes and section reviews daily.. Unit Test – Tuesday, November 3^rd		Math: We will be working on the following skills: Applying algorithm to add and subtract fractions. Generating strategies to multiply and divide fractions. Fraction Unit Test – Friday, October 30^th
