year. Mr. Scandrol will issue the books. They are to leave their textbook
at home to use as a resource. Book checks are in November and April. I
will soon have an online code that you can use at home to access the entire
textbook from your computer. There will be a classroom set of textbooks if
they are required for a special project or class activity.
GRADES:

1st
and 2nd Semester Exams will be 20% of the semester average.
STUDENTS
are responsible for recording grades in the Agenda and their work folder that
stays in the classroom.
PARENTS
should check Agendas daily and initial beside all math grades. Conferences
can be scheduled to see student’s work folders.
MATH NOTEBOOK:
Students
are required to keep a math notebook and bring it to class every day. This
may be a section in their large 3-ring binder. The Math Notebook will contain
all Bellwork, class work, notes, and homework.
UNITS OF STUDY:
Numbers
and Operations, Algebra, Measurement, Geometry, Data Analysis and Probability
Students will receive a copy of the 7th
grade math standards/indicators. Instruction will follow those standards, not
the textbook. Lesson plans are posted on the school web page weekly. Please
keep in mind that plans are subject to change.
