Course Overview
Anatomy
and Physiology CP is designed to provide students with a detailed study of
the human body. We will start with the basic unit, the cell and progress
through the different types of tissues and continue in depth into the body
systems. We will cover parts, functions
and relationships to other systems, so that we can see how the body functions
as a complete unit.
Classroom Expectations and Information
1.
Be Prompt.
Bluebook rules will be followed on the tardy policy. Please, do not linger at the door during class
changes. It causes congestion.
2.
Go
to the bathroom and/or get water between classes to avoid missing class time.
Frequent visits/abuse of the restroom policy can result in a limited number
of allowable visits.
3.
Bell work (BSAP objective) may be on the
overhead each day at the beginning of class.
Please work through the problem.
4.
Notebooks
are important. You need to keep track of all of your lecture notes, returned
labs, homework, etc.
5.
Please
keep all book bags under the tables and not in the aisles. This prevents accidents.
6.
YOU are responsible for all make up work,
including notes, labs, quizzes and tests.
7.
Homework is due
on the DUE date. It will not
be accepted late, as we go over homework in class most of the time. The
assignment board is complete every Monday with the homework, etc. for the
week. YOU are responsible for getting your assignment off of the
board daily!
8.
Come to class
prepared DAILY! (pens, paper, etc.)
9.
If you need
assistance outside of class, I will happily assist you. Please give me advance notice.
10. Be respectful of my things, the other student’s
things and the classroom materials and I will respect your things as
well. My desk is off-limits.
11. No CD players, radios, headphones, etc. allowed.
12. Please, raise your hand to speak. This keeps the
class more tolerable for everyone.
13. The grading policy is posted. Keep up with your
grades, as I only do averages at grading periods.
14. Consequences for problems: warning, parent contact
and/or office referral.
15. No canned drinks allowed. Bottles with caps can be kept in your book
bags. Food is messy and attracts bugs,
so please dispose of all foods, wrappers, etc. upon entering the room.
16. Work hard and you’ll earn the grade you
deserve. I do not pass or fail anyone.
Each individual determines their own
grade by their effort and performance.
