Maidenhair fern can be kept as a houseplant.
Houseplants in our area are usually tropical plants that can be grown outdoors year-round in a warmer area. Houseplants need bright, indirect light, watered on a weekly basis (usually), and fertilized regularly. All houseplants are susceptible to insects. Flame violet – makes a good hanging basket; needs high light; treat similarly to African violets; no water on foliage or flowers; has hanging babies (stolons) similar to strawberries; our variety has hot pink flowers.
