Horticulture for the Workplace I is a class that teaches the Green Industry for high school students. Call Mrs. Alexander at 679-4490 if you have questions.

WP1 is an Agricultural Education course. Passing students receive two elective Carnegie units towards High School graduation requirements. This class meets all morning for one semester.

WP2 is the second course offered in this series. Passing students receive two elective Carnegie units towards High School graduation requirements. Students may or may not be allowed to take this course, based on enrollment and WP1 grades. This class meets 3rd block only for the entire year.

All Agricultural Education courses require a Supervised Agricultural Experience to be completed by each student outside of class time. Mrs. Alexander requires 27 hours documented SAE hours every quarter.

Each student will be provided a membership to the SC FFA Association and will be given the opportunity to earn college scholarship money as well as valuable career and leadership experiences. Active FFA membership and SAE progress will be expected for scholarship opportunities to become a reality.

A Greenhouse Operator I certificate will be awarded to any successful student meeting above average training requirements and who pass the certification testing.
