rural—An area with small communities and open space.

suburban – A community located near a city.

urban – An area made up of a city and the places around it.

island -  A landform surrounded by water.

pond -  A small body of fresh water.

lake – A large body of fresh water.

river - A large stream of water leading to a lake, other river, or ocean.

Homework Assingments 

Monday:  Write sentences with each of the reading

vocabulary words.  Read with an adult Days with Frog and Toad .

Tuesday:  Read Days with Frog and Toad  and discuss the questions at the end of the story.  Write each spelling word and its root word.  Example:  cries—cry

Wednesday:  Write the reading vocabulary words in alphabetical order.  Read Days with Frog and Toad .  Study for your Spelling Test.

Thursday:  Study for your Spelling Test.  Read pages 8-11 and 24-27 in your Social Studies book.  Parents, if you wish you may read this to your child.  Be sure to discuss the information as you read together.

 

Daily Assignments:

Read and discuss your AR book. 

Check the agenda for additional assignments. 

Math and Science homework will be sent home in folders.
