Teaching Philosophy: In my brief but rewarding teaching career, I have found that students need constant challenges and a diversity of assignments in the classroom.  Not everyone learns the same: in fact, most students are not traditional learners, but are divergent learners.

It is not the teacher’s job to be the focus of the class.  The teaching should be student-based.  Learning and instruction should accommodate the students’ learning styles with a variety of assignments to accommodate all types of learners.  The use of structure and routine is necessary but should not wear the students out to where they will not perform.

In history, the important questions are not “when” and “where”, but “how” and “why”.
