Teaching Philosophy: In my brief but rewarding teaching career, I have found that students need constant challenges and a diversity of assignments in the classroom. Not everyone learns the same: in fact, most students are not traditional learners, but are divergent learners. It is not the teacher’s job to be the focus of the class. The teaching should be student-based. Learning and instruction should accommodate the students’ learning styles with a variety of assignments to accommodate all types of learners. The use of structure and routine is necessary but should not wear the students out to where they will not perform. |

In history, the important questions are not “when” and “where”, but “how” and “why”. |
