B-I-N-G-O Night

Tuesday night was B-I-N-G-O Night at Delmae Elementary. The evening began with some information regarding the Fall Fundraiser presented by Holly Paolucci, Delmae’s APT President. The fall fundraiser this year generated $31,000 in gross sales and Delmae’s portion of that has not yet been calculated by JaxCo, the fundraising company, but the fundraiser was in all rights a success! The top sellers were announced and are as follows: 1^st place, Nathan Gaskin, Mrs. McCall's 5K class, 2^nd place, Zachary Kight, Mrs. Nutter’s 5K class, and Dillon Webber, Mrs. Mills 5K class. The top selling class in overall sales was Mrs. Piland’s 1st grade class. And, a special note to Mrs. Shealy’s class who had 100% participation and is the only class at Delmae to have achieved that incentive. Congrats to all and many thanks to parents and students for hard work and participation in the fundraiser.

Next, Mrs. Jolley spoke briefly about the recent community meetings being held in the district in regards to facilities and upcoming structural improvements planned by the district and where Delmae fits into the plans as they are right now. For specific information, please feel free to contact Mrs. Jolley but the overall theme and good news is that relief for Delmae is coming!

The highlight of our evening was next and it was the showcasing of our 4^th graders. In class the 4^th graders have been studying the native Americans and so they headlined the night for us as they sang a native American song for all. They students were also adorned with native American headdresses that they made with the assistance of Mrs. Baltzell. They did a fantastic job with their performance!

Finally, it was time for some B-I-N-G-O! There were B-I-N-G-O cards, penny markers, and popcorn for all as the festivities of the evening began. The APT had lots of prizes to give away for all those who won. For about an hour, the numbers were being called out, the popcorn was popping and smiling faces filled the cafeteria on this night of fun!

I would like to give much thanks to the 4^th grade teachers for their hard work in getting their students ready for this evening’s performance and to Mrs. Baltzell and Mrs. Oswalt for their assistance in this, as well.

Thanks to Mr. Joe for always being there to help set up, clean up, carry up, pick up, for all of it! You are awesome!

Thanks to Mrs. Woods for taking time to come out this evening and capture these precious moments in time on camera. Times like this go by so fast and you help us to remember them and hold them dear. Thanks!

Thanks to the APT Board for your dedication and assistance in the execution of the little parts that make each event come together. Somehow it always turns our great and that is because of the great people involved so, again, thank you!

And, lastly, thanks to Mrs. Jolley for your constant and never-ending dedication and assistance. We are so lucky to have you at Delmae and we know it! You are the best!
