WELCOME TO
THE WORLD OF MATHEMATICS
My goal this year is to instill in every student that
enters my classroom an understanding and appreciation for the science of
mathematics. Mathematics is a very logical and beautiful
science. Through the study of mathematics, the brain
learns methods of thinking logically, which is an invaluable skill in today’s
world. We will study many different skills and
concepts which will form the foundation for future math classes, as well as,
various careers. What I want all students to achieve from
this class is the ability to become a critical thinker and problem solver. Regardless
of the ability level of the student, I believe that through solid instruction
from the teacher and diligent practice by the student, everyone can learn about
mathematics. The more you learn about numbers and their
relationships, the better “thinker” you will become, and the more valuable
you will be in the workplace!
