To answer the Calculator Questions:

As a math departement, a TI-Nspire is strongly recommended

for the student’s high school math career.

The TI-Nspire has a TI-84 keypad PLUS the Nspire keypad!!

If not purchasing TI-Npsire, a TI-84 Plus is also recommended.

Purchasing a graphing calculator is not required, but having one available to a student when they are doing their homework has proven valuable to the student.

Grading is based on a points system.

Tests	Weighted 35% of grade	90 -150 points per test
Quizzes	Weighted 35% of grade	15 - 55 points per quiz
Homework	Weighted 20% of grade	4-10 points per assignment
Classwork	Weighted 10% of grade	4-10 points per assignment
Group work	Counted as a classwork grade	5 - 50 points per assignment
Projects	Counted as a test grade	50 – 100 points per assignment

SEMESTER GRADE FOR ALGEBRA I

The score from the grade information table will comprise 90% of the quarter grades and the exam will comprise 10% of the semester grade. The End of Course Test for Algebra I will comprise 20% of the year grade.
