     Welcome to my Website. The purpose of this page, hopefully, is to help students, parents and myself work more closely together to better insure the success of our children. I am a native Florentine and a 1981 graduate of South Florence High School and have served as a Bruin football football coach for 12 years. I am married and have 3 beautiful children. ATTENDANCE

Attendance is important to being successful in my classes as well as others. Please try to be in class and to be on time. My attendance and tardy policies are consistant with those of SFHS and FSD1.

GRADING

I use a "Point System" to grade and evaluate students. Simply, each task a student attempts will be given a point value. The student's task is to amass as many points as possible.
                                                        Example:   Chapter 99 is worth 37 points
                                                                          Student score = 34 points
                                                                          Student grade = 92
                                                                          (34 divided by 37)

Semester exams will count 20% of the students semester grade.

Grades will be based on a student's points earned on homework, tests, and projects which will be weighted accordingly.
